Alex is a researcher, facilitator and advocate passionate about creating a more equitable international development sector. She has conducted research and other projects on topics related to the reform of the international development system for a range of organisations, including the Independent Commission for Aid Impact, Peace Direct, Healing Solidarity, ODI, Integrity, Initiatives of Change and the UK Department for International Development. At the Advocacy Team, she served as the Research Lead on a project supporting Wellcome to apply an equity lens to its external policy, advocacy, government relations and strategic partnerships. She Co-founded The Equity Index with Lorriann Robinson, a UK-based social enterprise that focuses on fostering equitable policies, practices and partnerships across all types of UK development organisations. Born in Johannesburg, she was raised in South Africa and Brazil and is currently based in London, UK.
