About Us
We are the Advocacy Team. A service for people and organisations working for a just world. Through our public affairs, consultancy, policy/ research support and training offer, we help our clients to execute creative and impactful campaigns. Equity is at the heart of our work; a verb that guides every element of our mission – from the causes we fight for, to the way we do business.
We are experts in resource mobilisation, policy analysis, political advocacy and campaigning. We inject innovative and creative solutions to advocacy challenges, use our network of political relationships, and over a decade of experience winning advocacy campaigns, to help organisations to achieve their goals.
We are proud of our multilingual, international team and of our experience supporting development projects working with organisations in the UK and across multiple regions including in South East Asia, East and Southern Africa and the Middle East.

SERVICES
Public Affairs
We provide a full suite of public affairs services. We help organisations to plan strategies and to build support among MPs and Peers to influence legislation. We also write parliamentary strategies and engagement plans and manage relationships with key political stakeholders. In 2021, The Advocacy Team gave oral evidence to the Select Committee for International Development and we can support organisations to submit written evidence to parliamentary inquiries and to prepare for oral evidence sessions.
Policy Research
High quality, well evidenced policy research is essential to successful campaigning. We have supported our clients to write policy briefings, research reports and we have written policy submissions on behalf of large coalitions of organisations to influence key political forums, including a submission from BOND to influence the UK’s Strategic Defence and Security Review and in 2021 we authored the Communique from civil society organisations around the world to the G7.
Training
We support organisations to roll-out both in-person and virtual advocacy training for staff, volunteers and coalition partners. We work closely with each client to develop a bespoke programme to meet their training needs. We can also provide facilitation for client workshops and staff retreats. In 2022, the Advocacy Team will roll out a training programme where people working in international development can invest in developing their policy, advocacy and research skills.
Events
We have extensive experience in developing and organising bespoke events for clients. We managed major launch events at key political moments, including the launch project Resolution at COP 25 at the invitation of the Chilean Presidency and a pre-launch reception on the Terrace of the House of Commons for the All Party Parliamentary Group of Global Deforestation.
Resource Mobilisation
We have many years of experience leading successful resource mobilisation campaigns, helping to raise billions in financing for some leading multilateral agencies especially in global health and education. We have supported organisations to run national resource mobilisation campaigns targeting the UK Government and coordinated multi-country campaigns for civil society organisations. In 2021/2022 the Advocacy Team is serving as the Project Managers, supporting the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovations in their resource mobilisation campaign which is aiming to raise $3.5bn to support investment in research and development to develop vaccines to end epidemics for good.

Story
At first glance, France and the United Kingdom seem to be following opposite trajectories. Following the legislative elections on July 4th, the United Kingdom regained a certain political stability with a clear victory for the left after eight chaotic years since the vote in favour of Brexit.
