THE START NETWORK

Training

The Start Network is made up of more than 50 aid agencies across five continents, ranging from large international organisations to national NGOs. Together they aim to transform humanitarian action through innovation, fast funding, early action, and localisation. 

In Spring 2021 the Advocacy Team worked with national consultants to design and facilitate bespoke advocacy training courses with over 60 representatives from Start Network’s partners in Bangladesh, Philippines and Madagascar. The Advocacy Team supported START Network members to develop their skills in how to develop clear and compelling advocacy messages; how to make the case for governments to invest to plan ahead of a humanitarian emergencies and how develop and execute their advocacy strategies and communicate campaigns messages with politics stakeholders in their spheres of influence, be it at the local, national or international level.
