Appointment:
Areeshya delivers research, writing, analysis and facilitation support to a range of policy, research and advocacy projects for clients including UNICEF, the Wellcome Trust, Impact on Urban Health, Malala Fund, the National Lottery Community Fund and the Institution for Civil Engineers. She is also a trainer for the Advocacy Team’s Official Development Training course. Areeshya recently completed a secondment with the Clean Air Fund, where she served as an Analyst in the Strategic Partnerships and Communications team and led the coordination of research projects including the 2023 State of Global Air Quality Funding report, Pollution to Solution in Six African Cities report and Philanthropic Foundation Funding for Clean Air report. Areeshya has also contributed data compilation and analysis to support the development of the Equity Index, and contributed research to the Index’s consultancy projects for IDB Invest and Development Impact Managers and Advisors (DIMA). She has also spoken on various panels to discuss the work of the Index, including the London Development Symposium, Partos DEI Learning Trajectory for NGOs and the London Universities Development Summit. She graduated from King’s College London with a BA in Politics and the Associateship of King’s College Award, and co-authored a policy paper as a member of the Economic & Business Policy Centre at the King’s Think Tank.
